In this area, the cultivation ofvines, wine production and nurture date from ancient times, but significant development in viticulture only began in the early 90’s of the last century.

Wine production is based on family farms, which produce their high quality wines in their own wine cellars and sell them in Croatia and abroad. One of the most famous Međimurje products is certainly its wine trail that is more than 30 km long with thirty or more opportunities for tasting along the way and where you should certainly sample the Pušipel – a Međimurje brand of wine from the revitalised Moslavac (Šipon) variety.

The Hažić Family farm is famous their wine as well as for their apple products. At the wine house you can also taste the famous pumpkin seed oil, apple crisps and juice as well as healthy apple vinegar. The wine house is surrounded by vineyards and the interior has a beautiful warm feel to it.
